The PREMS team develop their project within two main thematics: surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS effect), and molecular plasmonics. The projects, fundamental as well as applied, are centered along 3 main axes: (i) probing locally the chemical and electromagnetic environment of plasmonic nanostructures; (ii) inducing and monitoring chemical reactions; (iii) developping ultra-sensitive chemical sensors. The starting point of our studies is the elaboration and the linear optical properties of plasmonic structures (mainly gold and silver), produced by chemical routes (colloidal synthesis) or by lithographic techniques. As a few recent examples of our recent projects, let’s mention the synthesis of core-shell nanoparticles (Au@Ag) in the context of SERS applications, or the use of lithographic gold nanoparticles in order to induce chemical surface functionalization induced by excitation of localized surface Plasmon (suggestion: chemical surface functionalization of lithographic gold nanoparticles induced by excitation of localized surface Plasmon.

Alexandre Chevillot-Biraud (IE-CNRS)
Est responsable technique et opérationnel du service commun de spectroscopie Infra-Rouge et d’analyse thermogravimétrique (ATG/ATD) du laboratoire ITODYS.
Son expertise inclut le développement instrumental et la maintenance des équipements mi-lourds (spectroscopie UV-Visible et IR, lasers, microscopie) du laboratoire.
